Tom Dawes
Tom Dawes found a niche in the aerospace supply chain whilst studying for a PhD at the University of Liverpool. He formed Aerogistics in 2003 to provide a project management service to the Aerospace industry. He then went on to form a joint venture with the University of Liverpool to develop on-line supply chain management systems for the automotive and aerospace sectors.
In March this year he acquired King and Fowler which is an aerospace metal coatings company. Currently a £3m business and employing 65 people, the group is due to grow to £20m within the next 5 years.
