The organisers of ‘Inner City 100’ – dubbed the “enterprise Oscars” by Chancellor Gordon Brown, have approached DLIB to host a hot entrepreneurial event in our city. DLIB intends to use this high profile event as an annual centrepiece in its objective to showcase Liverpool’s best businesses to a national business audience. DLIB also intends to open the event up to the hottest ideas, new ventures and young companies starting out in the city. DLIB Chairman Frank McKenna said: “Naturally we are delighted that Inner City 100 have chosen DLIB to host this important event. The event is great recognition and reward for all the hard work we have put in, establishing DLIB on the national scene. DLIB is attracting the wealth creators and the city’s new entrepreneurs to our organisation……..We intend to continue to partner with national organisations like Inner City 100 to help develop and promote Liverpool’s best talent. Putting the spotlight on successful companies is great way of encouraging others to establish businesses in the City.” “Inner City 100 is an annual business index that identifies the 100 fastest growing Inner City enterprises in the UK.
