BUSINESS CONFERENCE LOOKS TO SHAPE CITY FUTURE
Downtown Liverpool In Business (DLIB) is hosting a major business conference in the city later this month, in association with the Northwest Development Agency, Brabners Chaffe Street and Grant Thornton.
The 'Liverpool Means Business' conference will take place on the afternoon Thursday 21st June at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, and will feature contributions from leading Liverpool entrpreneur Tony Caldeira, who recently featured in a Channel 4 documentary highlighting his business success in China, Liverpool City Council Leader, Warren Bradley, and Government Minister Phil Woolas. The event will also feature business advice workshops from leading partners from law firm Brabners and accountants Grant Thornton.
DLIB Chairman Frank McKenna said:
" We thought it was important that, in the city's 800th anniversary year, the contribution entrepreneurs had made to Liverpool's illustrious history should be recognised in some way.
" This event will look at some real success stories from our past, whilst also exploring how the city can be more business-friendly in the future. There will be an opportunity for businesses to get some first class, practical advice on how to grow their company, and delegates will also have a chance to put their views to leading decision makers about how the city can develop a more entrpreneurial attitude in the twenty-first century."
For more information about the conference, contact Hazel Walker, Telephone 0151 227 1633.
