DLIB Announces Another Sponsorship Deal

One of Liverpool’s leading accountancy companies, Grant Thornton, have become the latest Corporate Sponsors of the fastest growing private sector and entrepreneurs organization in the city, Downtown Liverpool in Business (DLIB).

From January 2005, DLIB’s website will host a business tax section, the content of which will be provided by Grant Thornton.

DLIB Chairman Frank McKenna explained:

“This is an additional free service for local companies that support DLIB. www.downtownliverpool.com already has a comprehensive legal section, courtesy of Brabners Chaffe Street. We will now add a business tax section to the site. The site attracted over 60,000 hits in November alone.

He added:

“ Grant Thornton’s decision to become a corporate sponsor of DLIB is further evidence of Downtown’s growing influence within Liverpool’s private sector.

“We are delighted to have such a high profile, well respected company on board, whose commitment and dedication to Liverpool is well known.”

Nigel Hutton of Grant Thornton commented:

“ DLIB offers us the opportunity of providing guidance and advice to the growing number of up and coming businesses in Liverpool. The DLIB website is extremely well used, and we are confident that the new tax section will prove both useful and popular among Downtown’s growing membership.”

Grant Thornton’s sponsorship will also support DLIB’s business networking events and Liverpool Property Forum in 2005.
