New Culture Brand a Winner With Business Business leaders in the city have given a big ‘thumbs up’ to Liverpool’s new capital of culture logo launched earlier this month. A survey undertaken by private sector champion Downtown Liverpool in Business (DLIB) indicated that of the 250 companies questioned, 87% believe that the new branding for European Capital of Culture 2008 is ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’. DLIB Chairman Frank McKenna commented: “The new capital of culture logo has been positively received by the overwhelming number of our members, and hopefully the brand will encourage companies to sponsor and support events in the run up to 2008” The new branding was developed by Liverpool advertising agency Finch and the official launch took place on September 3rd.
