| Liverpool City Council has approved plans that will transform wasteland by Central Station into a £160 Million shopping, residential and leisure development. The 600,00 sq feet development includes ‘twin towers’, a twenty-five storey building and a twenty storey structure, which have been nicknamed Spencer and Hepburn, after film legends Spencer Tracy and Audrey Hepburn. |

| Direct flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to New York will be available from next May. The news is another success for the Mersey Partnership (TMP), which started to campaign for the link eighteen months ago. TMP’s Chief Executive Robert Crawford is to address the ‘Liverpool Business Oscars’ event, organised by DLIB and sponsored by the Northwest Development Agency and No Name Kitchens, later this month. |
