LIVERPOOL ONE CAMPAIGN

Since DLIB’s launch of the Liverpool One campaign, a number of encouraging initiatives have taken place. Firstly, Liverpool Business Centre has been established, with the intention of creating a ‘one stop shop’ for business support. Secondly, civic leaders have agreed that there are too many agencies in the city and have expressed their concern (Sir David Henshaw and Mike Storey among others), and finally, the government have confirmed that the option of an elected mayor for Liverpool is firmly back on the agenda.

Now is the time to step up our efforts, and make sure these small steps develop in to giant strides, and a real reduction in red tape, bureaucracy and ‘agency-itis’.
