DAILY POST GOES WEEKLY |
Thursday January 19th will see the launch of the new Liverpool Post, a weekly publication that replaces the Daily Post. The new paper, which will have a cover charge of £1, will feature a whole range of issues including business, politics, lifestyle and sport. We hope as many people as possible get behind the new paper. Liverpool has been unique in boasting two daily newspapers for many years. The challenges of modern day print media has inevitably made that particular luxury unsustainable. But there is, we believe, a place in the market for a quality Liverpool weekly. We at Downtown wish the Post all the very best.

CLARITY CREATION |
Clarity Creation has been appointed by Merseyrail to help tell commuters how they can avoid the disruption caused by the closure of Liverpool Central Station.
The station will be closed for six months from April 23 while it undergoes a £20m facelift. Rail users will be encouraged to use alternative stations.
Phillip Ramsey, managing director at Clarity, said: “Anyone who travels regularly on the network has an opinion about Central Station.
“This is first and foremost a public information campaign but, given the scale and nature of the improvements, it was equally important to communicate that disruption will be well worth the wait."
