Mark Fuller
Mark Fuller is the Managing Director of the Merseyside Special Investment Fund's in-house fund management company. MSIF has an £80m fund which provides loans and equity packages (not grants) from £3,000-£3million to new and growing businesses to help them get started or expand. In addition MSIF has a £27m Seed Fund to provide proof of concept, commercialisation and first round venture capital funding in support of developing technology and intellect. Mark heads up a thirty strong team at MSIF and is responsible for the running of the Fund and ensuring its strategic and operational objectives are met.
Mark spent the first six years of his working life in the Far and Middle East as an engineer in the oil industry. On returning to the UK Mark qualified as a Chartered Accountant and entered the Venture Capital industry in 1992 where he became one of the principles involved in a highly successful regional Fund. He is passionate about Liverpool and the Merseyside region and thrilled to be part of the forthcoming challenges and opportunities presented as the area develops further in the years leading up to 2008 and beyond. He is committed to ensuring MSIF makes a tangible and sustainable impact on the local economy by backing quality businesses.
