This event was the first in a series of quarterly DLIB property seminars, focusing on the big issues facing developers, landlords, investors and those interested in the physical regeneration of Liverpool. Four more property seminars are lined up for February, May, September and December 2005.

A major factor in the development of Liverpool’s regeneration programme is dependant on the infrastructure in which it operates. Property development is a crucial element in this strategy and a key indicator and measurement of Liverpool’s growth and ambition.

The keynote speaker was internationally renowned architect, Ian Simpson. Other speakers included David Ruffley from National House Builders Federation (NHBF) and Peter Eustance from CBRE.

We anticipate that these events will become a vehicle that will help us to form a recognised and established property liaison group that will provide useful information and advice to public sector organisations on a regular basis.

The seminar was followed by DLIB’s autumn networking event.
