European Car Free Day Festival
Wednesday 22nd September 2004

Bold Street and adjacent sections of Slater Street and Newington Road will be open to pedestrians and cycles only between 7am and 6pm to promote the benefits of a car-free environment. Between 10am and 5pm there will be a festival on Bold Street with entertainment such as stilt walkers, a live percussion band and more. Shops will also be invited to spread out into the street.
