The Bluecoat The Bluecoat is a multi art-form charitable organisation housed in the oldest Grade 1 listed building in central Liverpool. Following a £14.5m redevelopment, the Bluecoat re-opened during Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture year in March 2008, with a brand new wing of galleries and a state of the art performance space. The Bluecoat uses its spaces to showcase talent across all creative disciplines including visual art, music, literature, dance and live art, as well as providing studio spaces for artists within a unique creative community. Add to this a garden, a bistro, a courtyard of independent retailers and a programme of family activities, and you start to see why it’s been dubbed Liverpool’s creative hub. | ||||||||||||||
